Welcome to The Yearbook Company, operated by Legacy Yearbooks (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at https://theyearbookco.net/ (the “Site”) and all related services, features, content, online tools, and printing/publishing products provided by us (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Site or purchasing our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site or Services.
1. Eligibility & Authority
- General Users: You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to make purchases or enter into binding agreements through the Site.
- School & Organizational Representatives: If you are agreeing to these Terms on behalf of a school, educational institution, club, or organization, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. User Accounts & Registration

- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.
3. Ordering, Proofing, and Production
Custom yearbook design, editing, and printing services are subject to specific project agreements and the following production terms:
A. Proof Approvals
- Prior to mass printing, a digital or physical proof of the yearbook will be provided to the client/school administrator for review.
- Final Responsibility: The client is solely responsible for thoroughly reviewing and approving all proofs, including text, spellings, student names, page order, layout, photo quality, and graphic formatting.
- Once final proof approval is submitted (electronically or in writing), the project moves into production. We are not responsible for errors (such as typos, missing names, or low-resolution images) that were present in the approved proof.
B. Timelines and Deadlines
- Production and delivery dates provided by us are estimates based on prompt submission of content and proof approvals by the client. Delays in content submission or proof approval may alter delivery schedules.
C. Cancellations and Refunds
- Custom Products: Yearbooks and custom-printed items are bespoke products created specifically for each institution or individual. Once final proof approval is given and production begins, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded.
- Defects or Printing Errors: If products arrive damaged or with manufacturing defects that differ materially from the approved proof, you must notify us within 14 days of delivery to request a reprint or replacement evaluation.
4. Submissions & Intellectual Property Rights
A. Client and User Content
- You retain ownership of all original text, photographs, artwork, logos, and media (“User Content”) submitted to us for inclusion in a yearbook or on the Site.
- By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, display, print, and distribute such content solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order, providing our Services, and maintaining project archives.
